Exploring the Big Issues of a New Millenium
|
Pauline Simonsen and friends |
What does God have to say about the big issues of our time? The environment and global climate change; bi- and multi-culturalism; sexual politics and gender roles; bio-ethics; science and faith; religion in politics… Each week a guest speaker will identify the points of debate in an issue, and will explore Christian theology to see what God and his word might bring to the issue. |
A Long Obedience in the Same Direction
|
Darren Birch |
Friedrich Nietzsche wrote, "The essential thing 'on heaven and earth' is ... a long obedience in the same direction." In this course, we will explore the lives of faithful men and women who help us wrestle with the question, what makes life meaningful and purposeful? Darren Birch is on the All Saints staff. He has lectured at Ladlaw College and served around the world doing cross-cultural church planting. Darren and his wife Cheri run an open home for people on the margins. |
A User's Guide to the Bible |

The second half of the course will be a Bible overview - showing how the whole thing holds together. This will be a practical, interactive learning experience. |

This course will help us to step into the whole narrative and feel its impact on our own worldview and lives. The course will end with helping us to process how to translate this gospel of the kingdom into the twenty first century. A great learning opportunity! |
