Open to All - Friday 27 & Saturday 28 June
By Lindsay Tamblyn
Joseph – what a great character to study! His story is an incredible story. From being sold into slavery, he is framed and forgotten, he rises to second in command of the most powerful nation on earth and emerges as a saviour of nations. His story is rich in drama, emotion, unexpected twists and turns, family dysfunction then reconciliation, theological insights, faith through hardship, and ultimately is a story of divine favour and blessing. His story will inspire your faith, awaken hope and highlight God’s providence at work. This short course will unpack all of this and more as we journey with Joseph through his story – the story of a dream.

Conversations across culture: a gospel for all people
The cultural diversity of Palmerston North is growing. Your bus driver, your accountant and your family doctor could well have quite different cultures to your own. Fellow parents, waiting outside the school gates, wear turbans or face veils. What should our attitude be towards such people?
What do we think when they say and do things that seem odd?
Do we believe everyone is the same underneath and do we treat them the same way as our white middle-class neighbours?
When we discover that many are loving, self-sacrificing members of society, do we perhaps feel that Jesus has nothing to offer them?
If we suppose that people of all cultures need Jesus every bit as much as we do, what can we do about that?
Come and explore these questions and more.
Cost $70
