Emmaus’ Year for God CertCM Internship will give you a solid foundation for whatever God calls you to next. You’ll get a much clearer picture of who you are, what you believe and how God wants you to make a difference in his world. You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced and safe learning community that’s been training Christian leaders in the Manawatu for 15 years.
What does a CertCM Internship look like?
It’s a combination of learning, practical experience and mentoring.
Participate one day a week in a welcoming and relaxed learning community (6 hours)
Work in a practical ministry situation that could be with youth, local church, Christian organisation or potentially a Christian school (16-20 hours)
Internship offered by Laidlaw College through Emmaus
Laidlaw College offers the Certificate in Christian Ministry - Internship (CertCM) as a pathway for emerging Christian leaders to pursue ministry formation and theological study while serving their churches or Christian organisation. Emmaus is an approved delivery site for this programme. You’ll enrol with Laidlaw College and do your study at Emmaus, In Palmerston North. You can study kanohi ki te kanohi - face to face - in a warm, supportive, community.

Lecturer: Pauline Simonsen
This course introduces students to key aspects of Christian discipleship. Drawing on the Bible and key ideas in Christian belief students engage in personal reflection and directed exercises connecting faith, life and ministry.
Semester 1 - 16 Week Course on Thursday 9.30am - 12.30pm
