VINEYARD COLLEGE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (NZQA accredited)

Vineyard College offers a one-year full-time internship certificate (NQF level 4, 120 credits) .  Students enrol with Vineyard College for their internship course. This is a mixture of distance learning and block course studies.

Students can also choose to supplement their distance learning with face-to-face lectures at Emmaus (These are the same topics that Vineyard offers - see below). This is our Foundation/ Internship Plus programme. Students get the Vineyard internship programme with NZQA accreditation and funding support, as well as the benefit of the Emmaus class with other students and with interactive, supportive teaching each week.

When & Where

Emmaus Foundation Programme / Internship Plus lectures are held on Thursdays, 9.30am – 12.30pm at CCS 91 Mihaere Drive, Palmerston North. Each course has one final written assignment and there are no exams.

The following Foundation Courses are run each year: 

TERM 1    8 week - God's Story, Pauline Simonsen & Ian Reid

TERM 2    8 week - Exploring Spiritual Growth, Pauline Simonsen

TERM 3    8 week - "I Believe" Theology, Pauline Simonsen & Dave Belesky

TERM 4    7 week - Understanding the Bible: New Testament, Pauline Simonsen & Nevin Beukes

Practical Ministry

All Interns also do 15+ hours per week of supervised ministry in their local church or Christian organisation. If you are enrolled with Vineyard they will oversee this part of the certificate.  If you are enrolled with the Emmaus Intern Plus programme, Emmaus and a local supervisor will oversee this part of the certificate. Your ministry experience can be anything from Youth or Children's Work to Administration or Sound Operations.

Fees

Vineyard College Course Fee - $4110 + (Optional) Emmaus Foundation Programme Fee - $ 1200

Total Course Fees - $5310 pa

The Vineyard course fee is paid directly to Vineyard College, and the Emmaus fee is paid directly to Emmaus.

Student Allowance & Loans

As the Vineyard Internship course is NZQA approved you may be entitled to allowances & loans.

Emmaus Discovery Seminars

Emmaus students are welcome to join any of the other Emmaus events. We encourage students to make the most of these great opportunities to further their learning experience.  Attendance at these events will incur the normal fees.
